Error code 3035, 2.
This morning after having gone through a Norton update (via LU) and downloading and installing the files, within 10 -20 minutes the "Auto Protect shut down, causing an "Error code 3035,2." Screenshot,
I ran a Manual LU, that downloaded a streaming update, but this still didn't fix the problem. I then clicked the "Fix Now" Button and went through that process Screenshot,
I don't have System Restore turned on, haven't for a long time. Don't need it.
So I Restarted the PC, That still didn't fix the problem, I then tried another Manual LU and it downloaded the full 29+mb Definition file.
THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM.
Seems for what ever reason the definition file(s) became corrupt.
1. Did Norton in downloading and installing the first update for the day corrupt it's own definitions file?? Causing the full download needed?
2. Does Norton "merge the downloaded file(s) with the existing files, If so did on this occasion did Norton in the act of Merging and completion damage the file??
3. Or if the downloaded files were corrupt during download when merging with the existing file(s) the whole file after that would become corrupt / damaged causing a full download to be required.
