Getting Norton loaded onto my netbook

I can just hear the snickering now, but I have very limited knowledge of computers, so I will humiliate myself and ask you guys for help. I have a little HP netbook, obviously it does not have any way to load software from a CD, I have a new Norton Internet 2010 cd and code, how can I make this work?, any help would be most appreciated, signed, embarrassed, dummy in Arizona.

Re: Getting Norton loaded onto my netbook

Welcome to Norton Community!

You can download NIS2010 full installer from here

http://www.symantec.com/norton/downloads/trialsoftware/offer.jsp?pvid=nis2010

The code you have mentioned here is generally named as "Key" which is used to activate your product. You can go ahead and install the downloaded product and use the key given along with the CD to activate the product.

Re: Getting Norton loaded onto my netbook

I dont know your netbook but presume it has no optical  drive. You can buy an external optical drive that connects through a USB port. The alternative is simply to download NIS from the internet and then apply the key from your retail product. You do not need to use the cd that came in your retail box.
