N360 system tray icon missing after a recent update

Hi all,

recently after a major update to Norton 360 I seem to have lost the system tray icon.  I have the desk top icon that I can click to open up 360 but my system tray icon has gone missing.  Any suggestions as to how I can get it back.

This is the likely fix

Please check the following Microsoft support document

This involves editing the Registry - remember to back it up before you edit - just in case!!

(This applies equally to Vista and any missing system tray icon)

Hi evo,

Run the removal tool, you can download it from this LINK. Restart the computer and run it 2-3 times, restart the computer each time after you run it. Then download a new copy of Norton 360 3.0 from any of the following links according to the product you have brought(click on the link to to start the download):

For Norton 360: http://www.norton.com/n360s_3
For Norton 360 Premier Edition: http://www.norton.com/n360p_3

Then start the installation, let us know how it goes.
