Norton 360 v5 Error Code 8504, 101 - Hardware Malfunction Blue Screen on Startup
Hopefully someone can help. No problem installing 360 version 5, Windows XP SP3, intializes fine and starts protecting. I have uninstalled MacAfee, cleaned registry, etc. with Windows Doc, run and uninstalled Malwarebytes and Spybot.
After 10 times installing and uninstalling 360, at Windows XP start-up I get the blue screen with "Hardware Failure: NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error".
After rebooting and choosing "Use Last Known Good Configuration", Windows will boot however 360 will not load. When double clicking the 360 icon, it takes about 3 to 4 minutes and pops up with error code 8504, 101. To analyze and fix, it has you uninstall and reinstall again which does not fix the problem.
Note the blue screen hardware failure problem goes away with 360 uninstalled.
No other anti-virus system is on the computer.
