I'm getting Error:3035,6. As I am not exactly computer savvy I am lost. Can anyone help in easy layman terms please?

Could you please tell us which Norton product (Norton 360, Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security) and version you are using? The version number can be checked from from the main product interface Support > About.

From the main 360 interface, please Run LiveUpdate a few times, restart the computer and let us know how you do.

download Removal tool
download your 360 version

disconnect from internet Uninstall via control panel Add/remove
run removal tool Install N360
