What does "Suspicious.Cloud.7.F Submitted" -Exonerated mean in Community Watch?

MY Norton Community watch listed: Statistical Submission: "Suspicious.Cloud.7.F Exonerated"

A.) What is the relevance of this-the computer was reimaged by mfr, and I ran a scan after i received it.

B) is there a log file where I could find the location of the file and upload to VT?

Hi af12,

This is a file of interest that is submitted by Norton Community Watch for evaluation by Symantec.  No user action should be taken based on the fact that a file was submitted for study since such files are not known threats - if they were, Auto-Protect would remove them from your system.  NCW submissions keep Symantec up to date on new files in the world, and have no practical significance for the user.

Re: What does "Suspicious.Cloud.7.F Submitted" -Exonerated mean in Community Watch?

Hello af12

It just means that something had been reported by community watch and later was found  to be actually a safe file, so they are now saying that the file was actually safe. It is all part of the work that Norton Community Watch does in the background. All this activity helps Norton to make any adjustments to the various types of definitions that are given out. It's just information for Norton and nothing that the user has to do anything with. It's just a log for the curious but nothing there for the user to do. Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.
