iTunes not enabled in Windows Firewall (even when Firewall is disabled)
I am trying to troubleshoot a problem where access to iTunes Store is being blocked. (no error message - page simply will not load)
I have re-installed iTunes, checked all IE settings, etc.
I suspect my firewall is blocking access to iTunes store
I am running Norton 360 and Windows 7
I have selected "allow" for all Apple programs including iTunes
I disable the smart firewall in Norton 360 and run iTunes diagnostic. The results indicate:
Windows Firewall is on.
iTunes is NOT enabled in Windows Firewall.
When I look at Windows Firewall it says these settings are being managed by vendor Norton 360 -
How could Windows firewall remain on when Norton is disabled?
Very frustrating - any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
