local Vault

Hi.

When you remove Norton Internet Security 2013 proposed to install Norton ™ Identity Safe.
Can I use an existing local Vault in this case?

Thanks.

I am sorry, but I have no idea what you are asking?

Can you be a bit more specific in what you are asking can be done?

Remove NIS 2013 - but what are you installing in order to use ID Safe and where does the Local vault exsist?

Re: local Vault

Hi yank.
I installed NIS 2012 and created a local Vault. Updated to NIS 2013. Local Vault stored. If I remove the NIS 2013 and will use another antivirus and installed Norton ™ Identity Safe.
Can I use my  local Vault in this case?

Re: local Vault

Hi,

The stand-alone ID Safe is online only, but you should be able to import your logins to the online account.

Re: local Vault

You're welcome.

Just remember to export your data before you remove NIS.

Prior,

Let me add - since you are exporting from NIS 2013, I am not sure the export of a DAT file will work in the Stand-Alone ID safe.  In order to be safe, export the NIS 2013 ID Safe Data in CSV format also -  just to be safe.

Also hopefully you will install some kind of AV protection - do not forget to run the Norton Removal Tool after uninstalling NIS from the Control Panel and before installing the Stand -Alone.
