You need to change the vault password from your PC.
Be sure you make a backup of your Identity Safe Vault before you do anything.
You need to find the settings screens for you Identity Safe and look for a Change Vault Password link. If you tell us what Norton Product you are using, and what version (click Support - About from the main Norton page), we can give more specific directions.
Are you using a local or online vault?
You say, "Be sure you make a backup of your Identity Safe Vault before you do anything". But its not clear how this is done. The vault is encrypted and stored online. And there appears to be no method for restoring the vault if you did back it up.
