It might be a good idea to have an option to perform a full virus and spyware scan ( like on NIS) , without having to de-select everything else erverytime you click on comprehensive scan.  Thanks.

The "Let Me Choose" option will allow you to do that.  IMHO, just doing a Full System scan for Virus and Spyware only kind of defeats the "All-in-One" system care philosophy of N360.  I would like to see the feature of a full Live Update done first before a full scan (Idle Time or manual or scheduled) added to NIS / NAV as this makes sure one is running with the absolute latest definitions for the scan.

Hi. sorry, what I meant to say is that you have to de-select everything else after picking the "let me chose" option, which can get annoying. It would be nice to have a one-click option that would just run a full virus and spyware scan and liveupdate. just a small suggestion.

I agree.

I also believe that the 'Let me Choose ' option in the Scan window should do just that.

Let you tick the boxes you want, as the option name suggests.

i.e.  Would it be better to default all tick boxes as 'unticked' and let you choose.

A 'Full Scan' option could be included as mentioned above by    tm100

Also an option included to select individual Drives and Partitions.

Yes, I like the update before scans, this should stay ticked, or even be done automatically at each scan, if there is an internet connection.

I don't know if you saw this, but at the top of the "Let Me Choose" boxes, you can check-then-uncheck that box to deselect everything. Is that (at least a little bit) easier?

There was also another suggestion about being able to save a "custom scan", where you set which scans run, then save that configuration. Would that be a feature you would find helpful as well, to meet your need for just the scan?

As an aside, thank you very much for these great suggestions. I don't think we have time to implement them for this release, but we're always looking for good ideas in future releases. Thanks again!

An option to save a custom scan is a nice idea. Yes i noticed how you can de-select all and then choose the scans you want. Most of the time all I want to do is a full scan, so I would de-selct the others, and maybe do a defrag and backup once every week. I dont think an extra option in the scans window would hurt, it would just allow more flexibilty in the program. Maybe for Version 5. Thanks Tony!

It took me a while, but I found the post I had remembered. PieterV has an excellent post regarding the Full Scan that is worth a read.
