I currently have Norton AntiVirus 2008, and am part of a network with a common firewall. However, I will soon be moving to a place that only has wifi and am concerned that I need Norton Internet Security to stay secure. What do you think? Also, is there a way to upgrade from NAV to NIS without paying the full price of the latter? (I have several months left on my NAV subscription.)

Thanks

I suggest Upgrading to N.I.S. 2008 as it offers more Protection as Norton AntiVirus 2008, for example, N.I.S. will Protect you from Fake Web Sites (N.I.S. 2007, 2008).  N.AV is an excellent Product, but if you want more Protection, then I would suggest Upgrading to N.I.S., also another excellent Product.

You will not be able to upgrade to NIS 2008 without paying. You have the following options.

 1. If the  purchase date of  NAv 2008 is within the last 60 days, contact Customer support team. They will be able to provide you a refund for the NAV 2008 product and then you can go ahead and purchase the NIS 2008 product.

2.If it is not in the last 60 days, then go ahead and purchase the NIS 2008 product, then contact the customer support team. They can add the subscription of the NAV 2008 product to the NIS 2008 product.

For your information,NAV 2008 also has an inbound firewall which is known as Internet worm protection.
