Hello Steve,

Your first request intrigues me. How does your supplier work out the relationship between an SMS message and seconds? I can imagine a calculation that took account of the length of an SMS message but the time taken to actually transmit must also depend on many other variables such as strength of signal etc. Do networks actually record the time taken to transmit/receive an SMS message?

T-Mobile monthly (pre-pay) plan. 1 sms = 1 minute. Have total of 1500 minutes/sms (in & out) on my particular plan. There was an Android app that had this setting (forget which one) and the setting was in how many call seconds = 1 sms. Also many apps have allowance to count or not the incoming calls and sms (individually).

Another nice feature I've run into on 1 or 2 apps is an exclusion list for numbers (don't count towards plan). Would also be nice to exclude web domains as T-Mobile for one, allows free access to your account info and their web2go site (shop) that is over broadband but doesn't count towards plan.

Steve

When you say wifi vs broadband, I assume by broadband that you mean your carriers data connection. Is that correct?

If that's the case, we are definitely working on a split like what you describe.

As to the other items you mention, I'll pass the feedback along to the team and we'll see what we can do.
