Hi! Okay, I know there are other posts around solving this problem, but they didn't work for me.

My concern is that my Online Storage is signaled as full and I would like to solve in a way different from getting more storage space.

So there is no repeated information, I will say why solutions formely offered for this problem didn't work for me.

-"Are you trying to delete all your backup sets?

To delete all backup sets except for one, you can read this document:

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/norton360.nsf/0/02dc17a78c142faa652572c0005d4ad2?OpenDocument&seg=hm&lg=en&ct=us" (found at http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=Norton_360&thread.id=21586)

I went to the link and the clicks in my Norton 360 are completely different. Tasks and Settings are separated, for a start. My Norton 360 version is 3.5.2.11on a Professional XP computer.

- "I finally figured it out. I went to Computer > Other : Norton Backup Drive > Backups on Secure Online Storage > and found 3 Backup sets, and deleted 2 of them. Thanks for all the help, my Computer is now showing Protected instead of Fix." (found at http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=Norton_360&message.id=20197&query.id=661815#M20197)

I can't seem to find any option that says "Computer" nor "Other" in my Norton 360.

------

Okay, having said that, there is another problem. My backup is supposedly 485. MB and my Online Storage has the basic capacity of 2GB, so it shouldn't be full.

I would appreciate it very much if you guys helped me! Thanks!

Hi camilok7,

If you want to delete all your backup sets from your online storage, then you'll have to contact a Symantec employee - you cannot clear out your entire storage space on your own; a Symantec employee has to do this for you. I know that this is not very convenient, but it is, for now, the only way to totally clean out your online storage space.

Please send Tony_Weiss an e-mail (via his profile page) containing the following information:

-description of your issue

-your Norton Account information

-Norton product version

-version of your operating system

Tony can delete all your sets for you. Please be patient as this might take a little time due to time zone differences and because the Symantec employees are busy, and tell me how it goes. Thanks :-)

Hi,

What Yaso_Kuuhl posted is incorrect. As of v3 (which launched back at the beginning of March) you are able to easily delete all files from a backup set using the new Norton Drive feature (which was explained in the original post although understandably a bit confusing).

Norton Drive is integrated into Windows Explorer which is what the original post is referring to when it says "Computer". To open Windows Explorer you can use the hotkey: Windows Key + E. You can also access it (depending slightly on the OS you are running) by right clicking on the start menu and selecting "explore" or also finding "Windows Explorer" in your start menu. I prefer the hotkey as it appears to be universal across most (I hesitate to say all) versions of Windows.

So, open Windows Explorer, look for Norton Drive (generally down near the bottom of the list), open that and find the online backup section per the original post, find the set that you wish to purge, right click on it, and select "delete" from the menu. This deletes all files from the set.

Issues with this process can occasionally arise and under those circumstances you can and should contact a Symantec employee for assistance.

Hope that helps.

~scott

Nothing to feel sorry about. It is fantastic that you are able to help so many folks on our community with their issues. I happen to be part of the online backup team and I see every purge request that comes through so I have a unique perspective/understanding of that issue.

Thanks for all of your contributions :-)
