I have the Norton 360 3 PCs per Household product, installed until recently on our 3 PCs. So all licences have been allocated.

Recently I've just decommissioned a PC and have used the Norton Removal Tool to remove the product from that PC. That has completed successfully. So I should have 1 licence now available to re-use.

This evening I've just finished configuring a laptop and now need to allocate the licence to that machine. Please tell me, what do I need to do??

Can I simply load the Norton 360 disk and begin the installation entering the product key?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi kpwc148,

If you have uninstalled Norton 360 from your old laptop, then you should be fine. If you have got Windows 7, then you need to install Norton 360 version 3.5 - which is not available on disc. Instead, please do the following. Depending on which edition - Standard or Premier - of Norton 360 you have got, please download the installation package of Norton 360 version 3.5 from the correct link below:

Norton 360 Standard Edition version 3.5
http://www.norton.com/n360s_3

Norton 360 Premier Edition version 3.5
http://www.norton.com/n360p_3

You will need your Norton 360 product key to activate Norton 360 after installation on your new machine. You can fetch your key from your Norton account:

http://www.mynortonaccount.com/

When you activate Norton 360 with your product key, the remaining number of your subscription days will be picked up automatically. If you receive a notification during activation saying that you have exceeded the number of allowed activations, please contact Symantec Customer Support - you can chat with them for free at the link below - and they will be able to sort out the problem and reset the activation:

http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/contact/contact.jsp?pvid=cs

Please tell us how it goes - thank you :-)

Hi, thanks for that.

I'd been keeping an eye on my Norton Account whilst I've been working on these activities over the last few days to see if the Remaining Activations counter would be incremented from None to 1, but this doesn't seem to have happened.

So I shall take your advice and do a Norton 360 installation from disk. (It's going onto an XP SP3 configured laptop).

Thanks again for the speedy response.

Cheers

Geoff
