Removing Backdoor.Tidserv!inf virus gave me BSOD.

Getting error code 7B loop. I’m running N360 V2 and XP SP3. All definitions were updated when I encountered the Backdoor.Tidserv!inf virus. Norton removed several times and it kept coming back so I followed Norton’s instructions for removal. I turned off system restore and went and cleaned the virus through Norton (so I thought) and rebooted to a BSOD. I tried rebooting to last known good configuration and it worked once for me to remove the threat again and then it never worked after that. I Went through recovery console but was unsuccessful at getting the console to recognize the command Norton said to use. I assume through looking at other posts that the atapi.sys is affected and possibly missing. Can you please help me recover and reboot to windows. I do have most of my data backed up on another drive but I have no image of my current drive and it will take days to replace the programs and get back to where I need to be.

Thank you for all that you do.
