Wow - thanks for the quick response.

So does 360 get updated in a similar time frame to the other products or is it hit and miss. I have Office 2010 and 360 doesn't integrate with Outlook. I see the 2011 products do and I'm impatient :smileywink:

I'm confused. New versions of AntiVirus 2011 and Internet Security 2011 have been released. My understanding is/was that 360 included that plus a bit, yet 360 is still at version 4. Am I missing something or does it take a bit longer for a new version of 360 to come out?

Users of previous versions of NIS can update to the 2011 for free as long as they have a valid current subscription. Since you have Norton 360 V4 you cannot update to NIS so you can either wait for the next version of Norton 360 and update then to the new version or you can purchase a copy of NIS2011 to replace your Norton 360.

Historically, there has usually been a new release of Norton 360 towards the end of each year preceded by a Public Beta but,as you can no doubt see, there isn't a Norton 360 Public Beta..

NIS2011 is fully compatible with Office 2010 (I use that combination myself) so that may be a good option for you if you are "impatient".

Thanks.

I have had NIS 2010 for a year and rather than renew when it expired decided I'd go to 360 so bought a boxed copy in anticipation. My NIS 2010 expired about 30 minutes ago so I got my 360 CD out and installed. Then i thought I'd see if there was any mention here of the 2011 versions (checked a week back and there weren't) and lo there were. Then I got puzzled beacause 360 wouldn't update.

Lesson learnt - stick with NIS - when my 360 expires in 366 days I'll do just that.

Hello,

new Norton 360 releases usually comes at Spring.

Public Beta program usually starts sometimes around November (last year it was about that time), you will see a notification about the start of that (when there will be a public beta) in the Norton 360 board as well.

Some of the new features from the 2011 product line, like SONAR 3 has been released for Norton 360 4.0 as well as an update through Live Update.
