NOrton 360 Install Starts MS Works Installation Instead

When I try to install Norton 360, V4 it causes the Microsoft Works installer to start instead.

* Windows XP, SP3

* Ran the Norton un-installer

* Have Partition Magic in computer (not uninstalled by uninstaller)

* Emachines: AMD Athlon, 2G of RAM

* I have successfully installed other Norton products on this computer before.

The disk ran successfully on 2 cother computers (3 computer coverage deal at Costco).

Hi,

you should install Norton 360 version 5 instead of version 4. It is a free update during your subscription time, and it has some more advanced features.

FWIW Partition Magic is no longewr supported by Norton and indeed unless you have I think it 8.3 or later I think there were problems between it and XP so be careful.

There's a very good Open Source utility if you need one.
