      <description>I recieved a e-mail that says its from symantec, saying i should read it.. how can i verify that it is truely from norton or symantec before opening it?</description>

Support recently, then I would not Open it.  If it matches what it says in that Web Page, please either Delete it, or put it in your Spam Folder.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;That is a Fake e-mail address as, if it was from this Forum, it would have something like: &lt;a href="mailto:norton_community@symantec.com" target="_blank"&gt;norton_community@symantec.com&lt;/a&gt;*.  Or, if it came from Tech Support, it would be something like: &lt;a href="mailto:tech_support@symantec.com" target="_blank"&gt;tech_support@symantec.com&lt;/a&gt;*.  It would not just be &lt;a href="mailto:symantec@symantec.com" target="_blank"&gt;symantec@symantec.com&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;font size="1"&gt;* - May not be actual e-mail addresses; just example(s)&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</description>
