If you check out the features of teh netbook edition -- apart from it coming on a thumbdrive when you buy it in a store -- it has graphics that extend down to the very small screens on the early netbooks and it has some battery saving features implemented as default. These latter may be not a disadvantage on your laptop since it delays background tasks when you are running on battery and will not apply when using a desktop since it won't detect the battery only state .....

Conversely many people are running the standard edition on modern netbooks with no problems so when it comes time to buy a copy you may want to check the retail stores with their weekend flyers and rebates since I don't recollect often if eveer seeing the netbook edition on heavy discounts ......

They keys are not interchangable so you would probably be well advised to check with us at the time and see about instructions for removing the netbook edition installations and installing the current standard version for which you would have a new KEY.

I recently purchased a netbook which came with Norton 360 Netbook Edition for 3 PCs. The store assured me that it would be OK to load it on to both my laptop and desktop PC.. If I do will I have full protection or is this a 'light' version of the programe?

Will do Hugh. I've loaded Norton on to my desktop & laptop so I have a year before I need to make a decision.

The netbook versions have an option to turn off the netbook features. So if you use it on a desktop you can use that option since it's always going to be plugged in.

Dave
