Hi

Thank you for the help !!!! Problem solved!

I used both options that you gave gave me. Funny thing though; I had already been to the 360 location that you gave me in option 1. because it is available in V5 just by clicking "Tasks" and scrolling to the bottom link under the"Backups" section. I didn't realize that I was already looking at all my backup sets including the ones from V4 and that all I had to do was select the latest one from 360 V4 and then search for the individual files. I did run into a problem though. It was only going to allow me to recover my email one message at a time. When I tried to do the whole email folder It was prompting me to register for the recovery program. I took a long break and then tried the option 2. that you gave me.

I already had an active backup set running, so I simply clicked on the "computer" shortcut and then right clicked on the on;line backup icon. It was embarrassedly easy after that to select the right backup set and follow down the "tree",by right clicking on the categories that I wanted. I do not remember V4 being this easy! Thank You very much,!

How do I find and download backup files from v4 Premium to newly installed 360 v5?

I crashed my hard drive by resetting during boot up disc check. My DVD/CD drive wasn't being recognized using function F12, so I had to recover sys from original sys software and downloaded Vista upgrades. I went to Norton "My Account" to re-download 360 V4 Premium but I only have 60 days left, so I purchased and downloaded 360 V5. It is up and running fine but now I would like to selectively download files from my old backup set on 360 V4 which isn't present on my computer but is still valid in my account at Norton. It doesn't help that I don't remember the name of the backup set on V4 but I can't get to it anyway. Are my old files history or is there something that I can do to selectively recover them using V5 backup task manager?

Thanks for any help that I can get.

Hi,

there are two methods you can try:

Method 1: Log in with your Norton Account password and username to the http://nobu.backup.com webpage, and select the 360 option. Here you will be able to download any file you select for download.

Method 2: Set up a new backup set, and configure it to upload data to server, this way in Windows' My Conputer you will be able to see the Norton Backup Drive. Double click on it, and you will be able to manage here the previously uploaded files. Copy them to your hard drive, and if you need the space, after copy you can delete them.

Let us know the results.
