Is it happening while autofilling logins in websites or while login to identitysafe

Please provide follow informations

1.OS,

2.Product with exact version(you can find in Main UI->Support->About)

3.Browser type IE/FF with versions

login to identitysafe. when i click on identy safe to log into a web site it shuts down, and i have to reboot to get it working again untill i log on to ident safe.

Hi,

Have you run any scans? If you have used the remove and replace tool then I don't think the root of the problem is in 360. When you do run a full scan do it from safe mode so that it covers most of the places harm can hide on your system.

When you did the remove and replace did you safe your settings and identity safe data? If you did save that information it may have gotten corrupted.

well i did the scan in safe mode, only found 2 cookies, when i rebooted in normal, i get the same problem error3040,40028 now.....any ideas?

Well I wiped out Norton completely, using tools and did a fresh install, I have a copy of my identity safe on my laptop with I have no issues, I saved data to thumb drive, now when I set up identity safe on my computer I get a error and my Norton 360 shuts down. It's not letting me save a password. When I re start I go into id safe and I have no saved password, if I put in the same password so I can use my back up, it shuts off.

Hi,

This is sounding more like a problem that is based outside of Norton. Warm up that thumb drive again and get a copy of the free version of Malwarebytes scanner. Try to install update and run it from safe mode on the problem system.

If you don't do anything to 360, as in click to open the UI or run live update will your system run correctly, at least for a time? The free scanner I mentioned is Norton compatible so when this gets fixed I'd keep it around so you can get a second opinion whenever you feel the need for one.

Do you have any other security programs running on real-time with Norton 360?

I noticed the malwarebytes icon in the system tray. Can you try uninstalling it for time being and check for this problem again?
