      <description>That is an interesting idea. How would you expect this information to be displayed? Would you want to see only those programs that are currently generating traffic, or programs that have connected to the Internet (I assume that this is only interesting for Internet traffic) within a period of time?

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I would go for TomiRed's suggestion (like COMODO's traffic list; which is similar to the older pre-2009 NIS Network / Firewall logging) as opposed to a graphic one.  It is much easier to display numbers on the screen (and update them in real time) than a graphic.  With a list format, the user has the ability to see immediately what application is using the lion's share of the bandwidth (and possibly react to that information faster).&lt;/p&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I'm on board with this too. Once I used Comodo's (or was it ZoneAlarm's?) implimentation of this, and found a nasty trojan that was broadcasting who-knows-what to some unknown destination. I was able to quickly locate that file and remove it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;This should definitely be a part of any first class firewall.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
