Norton Toolbar needed for IE8 and IE9 64-bit

Adobe has just released 64-bit Flash Player for Windows, and it works too. This overcomes the last major impediment to using the 64-bit version of IE8 or IE9 beta (also just released). Now we need a Norton Toolbar that will work on 64-bit IE8 and IE9. Regards

Thanks for the idea. Just to clarify, the toolbar works on 64-bit OS but not on the 64-bit IE. 64-bit IE users, please vote! :-)

Yes, now using IE in 64-bit is a real option so we need the Norton Toolbar to work with it.

The next version of Firefox will be available in 64-bit too so this topic applies to Firefox x64 too. Please add complete support for 64-bit browsers

Anything 64 bit should be supported as well as the 32 bit version. This goes for IE, Firefox, Outlook, whatever.

Please, we need this.

Currently, it is not possible to install the Internet Explorer 9 32bit on Window 7 64bit.

And that will probably also be in the final version of IE 9.

If the IE 9 Final is published, we cant use it - or have to deal it without the toolbar. This sucks!

Internet Explorer 9 is supported by Norton, toolbar included on Windows 7 64bit in 32bit form. No matter going forward Norton should fully support 64 bit Browsers on 64bit operating systems. Going forward there is already talk for 128bit support in future Microsoft Windows products. When is Norton going to start to catch-up.

i would also like to see a toolbar for firefox 4 64bit and IE 64bit (i don't use IE as thats just asking for it) for those of us that want to use programs native to are os's firefox 4 64bit is here

Note: Symantec is falling behind!

The Lastpass toolbar already works in 64-bit browsers.

I got sick of waiting and have given up using Norton Identity Safe.

I have another trojan that Norton can't detect - and neither can every 3-hour scanner I've DL'ed - that prevents me running IE8/9, but I don't know why you'd want an MS browser anyway. You might as well have MS sec essentials to go with it - they both run last place in every race.

IE's preinstalled if it has to be used, but Firefox 3 (4 doesn't support Norton) or Chrome (supports nothing) is still the way to go.

@TKO_123 firefox 4 isn't supported yet as its a beta and going around downloading malware scanners is just asking for it

i agree, minefield (beta 64bit firefox) is great, even better now with flash, if i only had my toolbar
