Hi. Trying to instal NIS 2010 onto PC with Vista. Getting error straight away saying - Setup.exe has stopped working. Any ideas,

Hi,

try to download and install NIS2011: www.norton.com/nis11

You can activate the 2011 version with your 2010 subscription key, it's a free upgrade during your subscription time.

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

Please remember to run the install as run as admin since you are using Vista. One reason for this to happen is if you have another real time security program installed at the same time. What was your previous security program and how was it removed? Did you use the removal tool from the other company?

Another reason is if you are trying to install NIS 2010 on an infected computer, the malware may prevent the installation also. It is important to get your computer cleaned up before trying to install on an infected computer.

Hi. Thanks for your help. Used the linked and installed 2011 - Key worked fine. Thanks again, thought I was going to have to spend ages sorting it out.
