Where did you purchase the product? If its from Symantec own website, you should contact customer service and explain the circumstances to them. They will then adjust the number days of the subscriptions you have remaining so that you don't lose any.

If its not from Symantec, you should contact the company you brought the key from and dispute a claim with them.

Edit: @Allen M, we posted at the same time. THis is the first time that happened. Freaky!

Hello,

I purchased Norton AV 2011 last night... Installed sucessfully, but it reports only 189 days protection. I purchased 1 year of protection.

How/where do I got to get this resolved ?

Thank you,

SD

Hi FlyTacks,

Welcome to the Norton Community. What OS and SP do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Did you have a previous Norton product before installing NIS 2011? Did you enter the new product key from your purchase receipt?

Where did you purchase NIS from?

I would suggest checking with Customer Service. I am concerned that you may have purchased a "used" copy in which someone already used the other days. Customer service can confirm for you if this is the case.

Please let us know how it goes.

Best wishes.

Allen
