When the Support site opens in your browser, select and copy the URL from the browser's address bar and paste it into Microsoft Word or Notepad. This will show you all the information about your product and system that is sent to the Norton Support Site.

elvis,

I wasn't meaning to brush off your enquiry and unfortunately I couldn't get back to it yesterday. I see others have.

I'd just add one point -- if you check back through messages here you will see from time to time a message complaining that their instalation has popped up a warning that their KEY is invalid .... and invariably it turns out that they bought their copy on the internet and not from an authorized source.

So as you can see "the system" does verify things .....

Of course for major on line support it's not uncommon for the support person to take control, with your permission, of your computer and so again they would have access to your activation KEY.

Thanks for caring about piracy ....

yeah , thx for your reply.

I am surely totally against piracy ,,, thats why all my s/w are genuine. I know its difficult for all to purchase s/w but atleast they can pay for essential and just totally dont install pirated stuff for everything

Regards
