Hi Rosew,

Welcome to the Norton Community. Which Norton product do you have and what is the version? You can find this from Support > About. Also what version of Windows do you have and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Occasionally updates occurs with your Norton software that requires a restart to complete the update process but we can tell you more once you tell us the additional details.

Best wishes.

Allen

Just got a message that "looks" to be from Norton, that requires I do a system reboot now to update definitions. I don't believe I have seen this before, and as it showed up apropos of nothing. I thought I should just ask if this is normal. I am new to this posting thing, so appreciate your indulgence.
