    <description>&lt;p&gt;I have looked through 2012 help  and can find no way to show the scan in progress dialogue box. Last year I used Norton 360 and the scan in progress dialogue box popped up at the scheduled time without exception. This box also provided &amp;quot;scan complete&amp;quot; with a comforting comment that all errors found have been corrected.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I would prefer to witness the scan in progress and the friendly green box &amp;quot;Scan Complete and successful in green&amp;quot; to be sure the scan runs. At present, I have to go into NIS 2012 and check the history to be sure the scan completed and was successful. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Any thoughts on triggering the &amp;quot;scan in progress dialogue box with final results of scan?&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks a bunch.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Bob&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;PS.       <description>&lt;p&gt;Hello johnsoncpa:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;You are correct - it should have worked, I think.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Did you have Norton 360 previously on this machine?&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here's what is suggested -&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;1) Backup (export) all your Identity Safe Data (if any) and make a note of your NIS 2012 Product Key.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;2) Download an run the Norton Removal Tool -  &lt;a target="_self" href="https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?docid=kb20080710133834EN_EndUserProfile_en_us&amp;amp;lg=english&amp;amp;ct=united+states&amp;amp;product=home&amp;amp;version=1&amp;amp;pvid=f-home"&gt;NRT&lt;/a&gt;.  When complete reboot the computer immediately.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;3) Reinstall NIS 2012 from this &lt;a target="_self" href="http://www.norton.com/nis12"&gt;link&lt;/a&gt; (You will need that Product Key) and fully update via Live Update until all updates are exhausted.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Test the new configuration and advise here if it solves this issue.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks,&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Atomic_Blast :)&lt;/p&gt;</description>
