After Installing NIS 2012, I cannot access my network resources that I already access for my works.

Hi,

please try this:

1. Open NIS2012

2. On the main window click on Advanced

3. Click on Network Security Map

4. On the new window edit your Netowork's trust level (left side, under the netowork's name click on Edit)

5. Change the trust level to Full Trust if it is a totally trusted network (eg. a home network) or to Shared

6. Save changes

7. Try out the connections

Hi,

Thanks for replying me, 1st of all i tried that option too. but it won't work there is a VPN between my PC to network resources that i want to connect so that network has diferent IPs. than my one so i have to manualy enter the those PCs IPs to the trust level in network map.

But unfortunatly its it wont work and without NIS i can connect.

Try to create Traffic rules for those PC's with their IP address. Goto settings->Network->Smart Firewall->Advanced Settings->General Rules->Add those IP address and allow the to and from Communications.

Thanks for replying me, i did as per your guide lines but nothing works for me i don't know why.

And even when i away from my computer its hang showing memory dump failure. (blue screen of death)

You are very welcome. If the communication issue is due to norton then Papauz / my suggestion should work for you. If you turn of the firewall in NIS are you able to access the Other Computer?

Here is a tool which can pull the Minidump and reproduces the bluescreen to identify what's causing it.
