Basic functionality & toolbar (Mozilla) NTB (2012.5.0.140) restored.

2-page bank-style logins still botched.

Firefox 9.0.1: NIS doesn't fill either page, even if called directly from NIS-IDS. Further, each login requires "re-register this computer" as if a cookie is failing with Firefox.

MSIEx 9.0.4: no "re-register" required after first fix, but still fails to log in.

/Diatom

Problem autofilling website login details after 19.5.0.145 update

After LiveUpdate updated my NIS 2012 to version 19.5.0.145 this morning, I have found that Identity Safe no longer autofills the login details for some of my websites (e.g. this is one example - https://www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/!ut/p/kcxml/04_Sj9SPykssy0xPLMnMz0vM0Y_QjzKLN4438wbJmMU7xRub6keaxRvFB_p7QoQM4h0RIkH6BbmhEeWOiooAMpA7iA!!?IDV_URL=hsbc.MyHSBC_pib)

It doesn't happen on all such websites, just some, which happen to be my banking logins!!

This really is the worst major update I've experienced from Norton - see also the threads re the problems opening Word 2007 documents.

Is there a way that I can revert to the previous version of NIS 2012 without LiveUpdate downloading the new version every time? Perhaps you ought to withdraw 19.5.0.145 until you have fixed these problems and tested it properly.

(Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit)

Good Day,

I have 2012 Norton Internet Security. Suddenly, Identity Safe stopped automatically logging on to two sites that it had before. The screen blinks, but will not load. Identity safe still works for other sites. I deleted the login cards for these two sites and then completed new ones but to no avail.. Any suggestions on what I might do to fix this? Thank you,

Ken

I'm having the exact same problem with same update and it seems to only affect the bank or credit card sites. The logins all seem to be listed properly and other sites (including this one) are being logged in properly. These are the sites I need indentity safe to work on, the others can be handled by Firefox, which by the way was just upgraded to 10.

I am having the same problem with BOA. Would not populate login so I deleted it and when I log in to the site Norton does not offer to save the login info. Was working great until the update.

Since live updating NIS 2012 to version 19.5.0.145, I have been experiencing the same problem as others with Identity Safe not auto-filling login credentials to a particular bank web site. For me specifically, Identity Safe no longer works for: http://www.usbank.com/index.html It still works fine for all the other web sites that I have stored, including Bank of America that others said was no longer working for them. I have 5 computers on my home LAN. Only 3 of my 5 computers got the 19.5.0.145 update at first, which allowed me to verify that the two that didn't yet get the update still auto-filled my login credentials to http://www.usbank.com/index.html just fine. I initally thought that the US Bank web site had a problem...but later learned that the NIS 2012 update to 19.5.0.145 was the culprit.

Hi Folks,

In addition to reporting the URL's you are having problems with here, please make sure and report them directly from your browser as well.

You can do this from the Norton toolbar, click on Identity Safe > Report Issue. You will even have a page where you can fill in details or comments about the problem. Reporting directly from your browser ensures that the issue goes directly to the Identity Safe team with Symantec.

Best wishes.

Allen

It's not just bank logins. It appears to be a problem with any two-page authentication, in which the username is entered on one page and the password on a second page. None of these are working for me. The username will not autofill, and if I enter it manually, I am not asked whether I want to save this.

I am running Windows 7 (64 bit), NIS 19.5.0.145, FF10.0, IE9. The problem occurs in both FF and IE.

Here's an example that is a credit card company: https://www.ibsnetaccess.com/NASApp/NetAccess/LoginDisplay
