hi all i have not posted for a while. i have 2 issues. we have 4 pcs. 2 are amd athlon alienwares and 2 are intel pentiums. the 2 amd athlons have no problem with installing and keeping nis 2009 on them. i have tried numerous times to run nis 2009 on the dell xps 3000 mgz pc with 2 gigs of memory to no avail. It installs fine but as soon as i reboot it ,it reboots just up untill the last stage of rebooting then just stops. then i have to reboot in safe mode to uninstall it. the dell intel pentium has no problem with webroot spysweeper and nis 2008. from what i have heard about spysweeper and nis 2009 i will not even try to install it on those pcs. i also have a vintage gateway with nis 2008 and i have not tried to install nis 2009 yet. anyone got an issue about nis 2009 and a intel pc? thanks

I threw Spysweeper in the garbage as it was bringing both of my systems to a crawl.

As soon as I got rid of SpySweeper it felt like I had new computers.

I think that it's a conflict with Spysweeper during Startup. Try these steps:

1. Boot into Windows Safe Mode (reboot PC and tap F8 key until Safe Mode option is displayed)

2. Start Spy Sweeper which will open the Diagnostic version of the program.

3. Click Options.

4. In the Program tab, uncheck Load Spy Sweeper at Windows Startup and click OK.

5. Reboot the PC into Windows Normal Mode.

If you are able to boot without any problems, keep the settings of Spysweeper as it is now. Run it seperately whenever you need it.

There are other threads about this. Spy Sweeper doesn't not get along with NIS 2009. You also do not need Spy Sweeper.
