NIS & NAV 2009 16.5.0.134 Update Roll Call

As I am well aware of Norton Internet Security 2009 / Norton AntiVirus 2009 Update (16.5) patch is being distributed in a controlled manner.

And that some may not receive this update as quickly as others, it is only a matter of interest to me as to which subscribers in what countries are actually receiving the (16.5) Update Patch prior to others.

Please sound off in this thread with your post stating if you have received the above mentioned and include the country that you are located in, no other information need be posted.

I installed NIS2009 a week or two ago and the first live update gave it to me.

USA Beaverton, Oregon. Still have NOT received 16.5. I get 16.2 after about a week after announcement.

Stu as I stated above, it is "only a matter of interest to me" as to which subscribers in what countries are actually receiving the (16.5) Update Patch prior to others, and "NOT" the matter of being woried at all.

I live in North Cyprus and still waiting for the 16.5 patch on two machines. The last two patch updates took 3 and 5 days respectively!

NAV 16.5 installed on my machine on March 5th... my girlfriend's PC is still waiting for it.

When the 16.2 version came out, my machine also got it first... As I'd initially installed NAV 2009 on mine a week or two before putting it on my girlfriend's machine, I wonder if when you first installed it has anything to do with when you get the update? Just a thought...

I wish I had discovered the forums before I contacted technical support.

I had version 16.5.0.134. I got it about two weeks ago.

While I was looking into renewal possibilities for my Norton subscription, I got a message stating that I should download the latest update to get the current version.

I contacted tech support to inquire whether I had the latest version. I told the rep that I had version 16.5.0.134 and asked whether that was the latest version.

He told me to go ahead and install the version that I was being offered. I did, and now I have version 16.2.0.7! :smileymad:

When I was contacted by "Norton Quality Assurance" (quotes are mine), I told them how dissatisfied I was. My complaint resulted in another representative contacting me. She told me that she'd install the latest version on my machine. After spending an hour on the phone and allowing her to remote to my computer, she reinstalled the "latest version": 16.2.0.7.

I am extremely disappointed in Norton tech support and will probably return to using Avast, which I used without any problems on my old computer.

Germany , we all waiting for this Update 16.5 since 12 Days.

Symantec should explain what the problem is 2 weeks on an available update to wait....instead of a mistake unsigned Update 5 statements to write :smileymad:
