I am having the same issue with Norton closing IE7 or 8 and Firefox.

Norton gives me a pop-up stating that it detected a UXP Detection 59026.

I am running on Windows XP SP3

NIS

Version: 17.0.0.136

IE7 version: 7.0.5730.11IC

Firefox 3.5

I've ran LiveUpdate multiple times, re-installed NIS, restarted my pc, ran Intelligent Updater, but still I have this problem.

Help

What does NAV intrusion message UXP Detection mean? I can't seem to find any definitions anywhere, on the Symantec site or elsewhere that defines what a "UXP" intrusion event actually is. All of a sudden my NAV started displaying this error message while browsing about using IE6 & XP. Sites like google, ebay, yahoo, gmail, amazon... all seem to suddenly have spawned these UXP messages. Would someone happen to know what UXP means? A full NAV system scan turns up nothing suspicious. Comments appreciated. Thanks.

Also, under Ithe nternat Settings/Intrusion Exclusions list, ALL mention of UXP intrusions are now gone. I guess Symantec removed them. (?) And the problem appears to be gone now. What does UXP mean? I'd like to know what type intrusion that is.
