More details please. Have you ever used Ghost? What are you backing up and what is the destination?

Yes I have used Ghost 14 for about a year. A couple of days ago I had a problem with that. It was a problem with VSS provider and it looked like it was a problem with Snapshot also. I used the disk for version 15 to see it it would install Snapshot for me since the version 14 disk would not. I use Ghost to make images of drive C: to F:

If you can't fix it I'd restore a C: drive image taken prior to the issue.

I started restoring but got the following message so don't know if I should go ahead.

Following backups were captured when your machine was under high load.

Norton backups \wayne-pc-recovery 0-2 v2i

It should recover normally but you may wish to optimize your back up schedule to facilitate VSS quiescing.

Should I continue or not.

Sounds like you have started the restore from Windows. I'd boot from the Ghost CD and restore from the recovery environment.

Could not get PC to boot on recovery or installation disk. Was going to try sys recovery and it would not work. Rebooted and got message that start up was not right and window came up to repair start up. Ran it now Norton Ghost and recovery both work. Thank you for you help. The only thing is I don't think I can run back up since neither disk will boot up to restore.

Will the Ghost CD boot into the recovery environment now? If not, what do you see happening?

Could the problem be that this computer is 64 bit? I have had other programs fail to run.

Can you boot from other disks? eg the Win7 DVD.

OK. It has nothing to do with 64 bits. I'd try another different Ghost CD. Does your Ghost CD boot in another computer?

Sorry it took so long. Got the disc made and it will not boot on that computer but will on this one. I do not know what else to do.
