Huh? You only have two partitions and are you're trying to copy them to each other? Yeah, that's not going to work. You'll need four partitions; the two original source partitions and two clean destination partitions. If I'm understanding you correctly.

I just got Ghost 14 recently, I have never used it before but have heard good things. I want to upgrade my Laptop to a RAID-0 so I want to make a mirror image of my drive. My C drive was partitioned into C and D. I am using the Copy My Drive function and every time I have tried this is has given me the following error or something similar:

Error EC8F17B3: Cannot complete copying of VistaOS (C:\) drive. Error EC8F0409: Cannot copy source drive to destination location. Error E0BB0061: Win32/Win64 API [WindowsComputer::AddMountPoint] SetVolumeMountPointW( G:\, \\?\Volume{e6c86beb-044e-11de-93f9-002215433824}\ ) failed. Error EBAB03F1: The directory is not empty.
Details: 0xE0BB0061
Source: Norton Ghost

I have tried this on 2 different drives now, I ran chkdsk, defrag, I ran it with and without Copy MBR on and I still got nothing. Am I doing something wrong here? I have another drive I can try but I will probably try reinstalling first and not updating.

Message Edited by DaringSword on 03-06-2009 08:00 AM

This problem can occur if your destination drive is not empty, i.e. contains partition. Please delete all the partitions from the destination drive and make it unallocate. Do not format the drive before performing the Copy Drive operation.

To delete the partitions, you can use any Disk Partitioning softwares such as Norton PartitionMagic 8.0 or the inbuilt Windows Disk Management utility.

This should fix the problem.

--Vinod

I am getting the same error.

However, this solution seems to void the fact that there are two drives to copy - both partitions. The ghost manual says that you need to copy each partition separately. If I delete the partitions on the new drive, how will I copy the second partition?
