Frights for Halloween

It's getting closer to Halloween and I was going to ask a question about what you think the scariest movies are. (I can not watch zombie movies. Dawn of the Dead, Shaun of the Dead, etc. I've never seen them.)

But then I remembered how scary some books are too. I remember reading Jonathan Carroll's book, "Voice of Our Shadow" and throwing it across the room at one creepy point. (Come to think of it, I also threw Carroll's "After Silence" across the room at another creepy moment.)

And how scary some games are! Like 'Dead Space' and 'Fatal Frame'. And TV Shows like, The Twilight Zone!

So what are you recommendations for a good scare? :smileywink:

My favourite one is Alien (1979). It is quiete claustrofobic, and also a good sci-fi as well :). But there are also some good ones like The descent or Sphere.

As a game I can suggest Dead Space as well, and the 1999 AvP game. The second nowdays have not so good effectquality, but it had a really special feeling while you were playing.

Looking at Sci-Fi, I'd definitely nominate Event Horizon
