Hello

Wind is blowing---up to 32 mph gusts, not too bad I guess.. The bug says like 2 inches now, but it seems like more and will be more. Oh yeah, it's after midnight, so that 2 inches is since midnight, we had more before then since it's been raining most of the afternoon. Still a lot more to come and a tornado watch to top it off. Mother Nature is doing her thing to us right now. First the earthquake, then this hurricane and a tornado watch.. So far we are lucky in that we still have electricity. Good nite... Have to try and get a little sleep and hope I don't wake up to a blackout caise that will take a while to return...

People in the closest settlemant to the Epicentre didn't really feel anything, but people in high rises in Vancouver did, with reports it was like medium level turbulance in an aircraft.

If perchance you mean me...... I'm a little better than 600 miles east of the epicentre. If I hadn't heard about it on the news, I wouldn't have known about it.

When I was still in the police force on the island, I was busily engaged in handing some offending driver a ticket when a small quake hit. It made his car and me shake a bit. It was hard to tell which of us was more startled. The Vancouver Island quakes are much deeper and not as impressive as the New Zealand and area quakes. I think the island is heading in your general direction SOJ.
