Annoying Forum Behavior

After posting a message I always get redirected to the first page of the thread. I rather be redirected to my published post to see the effect and perform any edits.

Re: Annoying Forum Behavior

I know what you mean. It happens if you mark a thread as read using the menu under Thread Options.

The system people are aware of this and perhaps it will be fixed in the forthcoming system update .....

Thanks for the input.  I'll make sure this gets seen by the people that count.  I can't promise change tho..

Re: Annoying Forum Behavior

Another annoying Forum Behaviour is when you are typing and the Scroll Bar is on because you have typed so far down that it is required, it jumps up to the middle of the Message you are typing so, when you go to add a Web Link, for example, it can jump back up just as you are right-clicking to add the Web Link at the end of your Post and end up having the Curser up at the middle of your Reply - obviously not where you want to put a Web Link in the middle of a sentence!

Thanks for the comments.  My understanding is the editor in use here is an adpated version of anopen source editor called TinyMCE.  I understand this has not worked out as planned, and that the editor will be undergoing some changes in upcoming upgrades, sometime during the first few months of the year.

Re: Annoying Forum Behavior

Great news. FWIW in two other places using the same source editor it doesn't happen!

A part time workaround that you know about is to drag the corner of the editor frame down so that the area is larger but eventually one triggers the flip-flopping.
