Back in April, I posted an [url=http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Nort

Having posted this new thread, I find I cannot edit what I have just posted. Obviously, however, I can reply here. What am I missing, please?

on-Identity/V19-7-0-9-IdentitySafe-still-playing-u ...]IdentitySafe error[/url] in IdentitySafe v19.7.0.9 which appears fixed in the latest version 19.8.0.14. I can see my original thread but am not given an opportunity to post again or mark it as Resolved. I have, however, been able to open up this new thread with no problems and I am able to open up replies in more recent threads. Methinks, I'm missing something here?
I believe the thread is closed. The reply buttons are 'grayed out'.

To edit, click 'Options' at the upper right of your post. Then select 'Edit Reply'.
You only have one hour to edit your post after you have posted it.
Hope this helps.

Hi durdle,
Some added info I didn't include before. After a thread becomes inactive for a certain period of time, the thread is closed or locked. That is what happened to your thread from April of this year. From the first to the last post dates in that thread, they range from 4-24 to 4-26 and that was the last post.
At some point since then, the thread was closed. Thus, that's why you can't post again in the thread or mark it as an Accepted Solution, (Solved).
For a little insight on the 60 minute time limit for editing, click here for an explanation.

Hello durdle
I will try to request the Mods to see if they can mark the thread as solved for you. I am not sure if they can do it or not. Thanks.
EDIT: request made.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

floplot,
Can't Gurus mark threads as solved now?

Thanks for the explanations. When I see the old thread marked as solved, I'll mark this one as solved. As long as it hasn't been closed as inactive :-).

Hi durdle,
Guru's can mark a thread as solved (As Krusty13 suggested) - however, when I looked at it initially, it does not appear there is a solution posted in the original thread that fixed the situation.
You stated in this thread that the 19.8.0.14 update solved your problem in the other thread. Since we can not get back into that thread (not even sure about admins making an additional post in a closed thread) - so I will go back and mark it as solved by Senthil in the post he said they duplicated it and are tracking it. That is the best I can do and I hope it meets with your approval.
Hopefully that will permit you to close out this post as solved also and you are hapy with the outcome.

Hi durdle,
