My first impressions. What I like:
1) I like the Kudo icon being closer to the posting user, makes it more obvious. But I think it would still help for the Icon to be labeled with "Give Kudo" or something like that.
2) I like the Reply button being near the bottom of the post. This helps particularly for the longer posts so you don't have to scroll back up.
3) I like the overall look and feel in general better than it was previously.
What I don't like:
1) As someone said above the default font appears to be a bit small. Though it works for me since I tend to use pretty small fonts anyway, it could stand to be increased 1 or 2 sizes.
2) Hitting Cancel sometimes takes you back to the wrong page! In just about 20 minutes of doing a bit of testing I have found that if you reply to a post and then hit Cancel, it sometimes takes you back to the wrong page. In a couple of cases already I responded to a post, hit Cancel and it took me back to my PROFILE page instead of the thread! In another case hitting Cancel actually took me back to a different thread altogether!
3) PM Icon - as someone said above, sorry but this is bad. Many users were missing the indicator that they had a PM as it was, now unfortunately it will be FAR easier to miss than before. It is simply too small and there is NO indicator of a PM except a tiny number changes to 1 or something. I sent myself a few test PM's and this just does not work, way too easy to miss.
4) Tags - I miss having a snapshot of my tags on my main profile page. Now I have to hit My Settings > Tagging > Tags to see my list of tags. Can't we go back to having this on the main profile page? Or at the very least have a link which takes you directly to your full tag list?
5) Attachments vs Images - I and others had suggested before either having images be able to be uploaded via the Add Attachments link (and somehow added to the workflow for getting approved by a moderator) or at the least having better help available so that users know the difference between the two and which one to use. I'm not seeing much/if any change here. The natural inclination will be to hit Add Attachments even for images, intead of the green tree symbol. If you add a JPG from Add Attachments you don't know there is a problem until you hit Post and then it tells you that you have a bad extension but offers NO help on how to attach the image properly.
6) When you hit Reply and then write your reply and hit Post, it takes you back to the beginning of the page instead of to the post from which you hit Reply like it did before. A bit annoying. ![]()
I'll add more as I have a chance to look around more.
Thanks
Allen

Is it just me or does the color suddenly change after the first few lines of my last post?
Looks kind of silly. ![]()

My last post did the color thing again.
Why does it seem that only MY posts are changing to a bright yellow color after the first few lines??
OK, now I'm really confused! After I edited the post following my LONG post, the color change in the large post went away but my next post then had a color change.
Then I edited the second one after my long post, and the color change on my previous post then went away! It seems like the last post in a series that I do has a color change. So now THIS post has a color change after the first few lines.
Is this by design or something?
Thanks
Allen

We've been robbed on the Reply Editor toolbar! Where is my Indent / Unindent tool that I use in most messages to differentiate extracts and instructions ....
Maybe the numbered indents work now?
Well that's something but I want my indent back.
are duplicated above and below the message you are reading in Threaded VIew anyway but the ones you use most
when you are in a thread are only below the message so often out of sight and needing scrolling.
Part of Spell check button is behind Preview.
Plus all the other points, especially the PM icon.

This sounds like which post has focus in the thread. Experiment with with the options menu and 'Highlight this post' and see if you can duplicate the effect. Remember the post with focus is the one that will be highlighted if you you the current URL in a link.

My guess is that the yellow/orangy color was to show that you were reading the new/unread post. That's what it appears to me anyway, cause after I read it, it goes away and sometimes there will be more than one unread post and those will have it also.
{Edit} After trying out a couple things... I assumed it was new post indicator.. Cause I click to jump to the newest posts from the main page. But in reality it is just as Allen_K describes. It's just means that a particular post is recieving the focus.
As for someone mentioning the "Mark all read" on the main community page....There is a link for it on the main page, scroll down and on the right there will be "Quick Links" that will have the links to mark all read or unread.

Is anyone else missing their image gallery? How are we supposed to access and modify our images unless it's through some complicated URL-modifying process in the browser's address bar?

Hi Allen,
The problem was that I did NOT select Highlight from the options menu except for just now after you suggested playing around with it.
Rayofsunshine, thanks but I don't think this explains it. First I was in fact the poster which means my post by definition cannot be new. Secondly, if that were the reason then a page refresh should have eliminated the color change but it does NOT.
EDIT: So NOW that I posted a brand new reply the color change on my previous post went away finally! Something definitely not quite right here.
Once you refresh the page, the post is no longer new.
Thanks
Allen

Hi Yaso,
Yes you are correct. I am not seeing it either. ![]()

We are aware of the Image Gallery issue and it will be resolved shortly, although probably not today.
You can still add images to your gallery by uploading an image in a post.
