I got very lucky ;-D It's quite cloudy over here, but there were gaps in the cloud barrier and I was able to enjoy the partial eclipse - I could see a distinct blackish-greyish "dent" on the lower right corner of the moon, very interesting to watch, especially through a pair of binoculars ;-)))

There was a Full-Moon (White/Light) on Wednesday, December 02, 2009, and Thursday, December 31, 2009.
There is supposed to be a "blue moon" tonight. That occurs when there is a full moon twice in one month. It doesn't happen very often, therefore the phrase " something is going to happen once in a blue moon".
Never heard this before myself, I think. Why is it "blue" if it happens twice in one month? Because we do have one Full Moon (Light) and one Full Moon (Darkness) per month and it is always white when it appears.
