Hi everyone,
I was wondering about the following questions:
On which basis did you choose your Norton forum nickname? Was it a spontaneous decision (did you just grab the first word or name or number floating around in your mind) or did you take a few minutes to think about it? What influenced your choice?
What does your nickname say about your identity, or is it supposed to say anything about your identity in the first place?
Did you ever feel like changing your nickname afterwards?
Please feel free to answer whichever questions you want (whether listed or not listed above) and/or to submit your thoughts ![]()
Thanks ![]()

Hi Yaso_Kuuhl,
Well after spending over 16 years driving a 18 wheeler and almost 2 million consecutive safe driving miles, I think the name fits. I decided to retire from the road and relax, stay home and do my "Honey Do List". lol
I don't think I'll ever change the name. I am enjoying Retirement.

Hi Yaso,
Mine is so creative, don't you think? LOL. ![]()

In hindsight I wish perhaps I had started with another one but it is way too late for that now.
I'm just too well established here I guess. ![]()

ProTruckDriver -
2 Million consecutive Safe driving miles deserves some recognition; way to go! Thanks!!!
As to my user name, I have used this name on many other forums and really didn't expect to be here this long. I just came to get a question answered about SONAR. The rest is history.

Hello Yaso
How did you pick your name for the Forum? My user name isn't very imaginative.
Success always occurs in private and failure in full view.

Well for me I first graduated in 2005 with my Associates degree in Computer Networking Systems. Now I'm working on my Bachelor's in Homeland Security and plan to graduate in 2011. So I may change it to ITGraduate11 lol. I probably wont tho.

Thank you very much for your answers so far, folks ![]()
floplot: actually, I have no idea what "floplot" means...I only know that the second "l" goes missing sometimes due to the occasional typo ![]()
ProTruckDriver: WOW! Impressive stuff! ![]()
About my own nickname: I originally signed up in the forum as...Moby_Duck. Due to reasons of dignity
, I asked a moderator to change my name to Yaso_Kuuhl after a few months (thank you Allen_K) ![]()
Yaso Kuuhl is a pun which only makes sense in German, and it was borrowed from the book Schattenjagd ( transl. Shadow Hunt; a computer fantasy novel which I read looooong ago when I was a dazed teen) written by the German authors Wolfgang & Heike Hohlbein. Yaso Kuuhl is a phonetic transcription of "ja so cool" (~oh so cool). I chose the name because I wanted something which was the complete opposite of the cute little ducky
At this point, I wish to say that I am not at all cool; I am simply insane little me ![]()

I originally intended to be more of a flower than a fish. It is also a good rule of thumb to pick a user name that is unlikely to show up on a Google search. ![]()
I like the bird avatar Yaso, but I thought the ladybug just a little more expressive of your sunny nature.
