How do I get rid of Adchoices?

I've been trying to get rid of Adchoices all day--nothing seems to work.  Why doesn't Norton 360 pick up on this adware?  Also, contacting Norton's is nearly impossible as well.  If I pay for a year's protection and have 24/7 support, I should have a way to contact you.  My subscription is coming due in a month - might start looking for some other kind of protection that can handle Adchoices.

Welcome,

One of the sad facts of computing life today is that no single security product will protect you 100% or the time from 100% of the thousands of threats being released daily.

Many of us suggest the combination of Norton plus a free on demand scanner like

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

or

http://superantispyware.com/

When it gets more difficult that they can manage then it's time to go to one of these free sites

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com
http://forums.whatthetech.com/
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/
http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/

and work with one of their trained, volunteer staff to get your machine back in order.

Keep us posted

PS: there are other possibilities but there are none better than Norton [personal opinion]
