The leaderboard in your link only shows kudos received in the NIS/NAV section of the forum. The leaderboard referenced by delphinium showed an aggregate of kudos received from all sections of the forum, and it is, as delphinium said, gone.

Is this the leaderboard that you are referring to?

Yes, but is that the only way to access it, by clicking the link in Yaso's post? It would be much more convenient if they put it back where it was, on the main forum page.

Hi Turbo,

Yes, it seems to be the only way to get to the Kudos Leaderboard - at least in the US forum. The German and French forums have the main Kudos Leaderboard on the main page. It's a pity that the US forum no longer displays it. In fact, I was only able to find the link to the Kudos Leaderboard in the US forum after copying part of the link leading to the Kudos Leaderboard in the German forum and then combining it with a chunk of URL from the US forum ;-)

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are now ready for take-off. We would like to remind you that smoking and flaming are prohibited on all boards of this forum. We wish you an enjoyable flight with Norton Airlines.

Yaso, thanks for putting that link together (very resourceful) and for the additional info.

Hi Yaso,

Care to do a translation of your latest signature line before you change it yet again? :smileywink:

And by the way I still say my favorite signature line of yours was the one that says "I hate mosquitoes"! :smileyhappy:

Yaso, you should be truly ashamed! :smileysurprised: How could you possibly link to a website with so many computer threats? :smileywink:

Well my friend, I guess you have to change your sig line sooner rather than later, eh? :smileysurprised:

Actually, I copied those lines from a book...:smileyvery-happy:

I have tried to translate them:

Flieg, Vogel, schnarr/Dein Lied im Wüstenvogel-Ton! -/Versteck, du Narr,/Dein blutend Herz in Eis und Hohn!
-F. Nietzsche, "Vereinsamt"

My translation:

Fly, bird, rasp/Your song in the tone [or melody] of the desert bird! -/Hide, you fool,/Your bleeding heart in ice and mockery!

F- Nietzsche, "Lonely [or Forsaken]"

Just so that everyone knows what this is all about: I am always changing my forum signature, and I was using the lines above as my current signature :-)

It also requires a balancing of preferences from our key forum contributors (YOU).

That being said, "Fixing Kudos" will be my next task. There were a few other formatting issues and speed issues to deal with, but after reviewing these posts, it's clear that many of you see this as a higher priority. Originally, I was waiting for some better graphics to be included. However, as most of you know, things get delayed from time-to-time. I am prepared to get this issue resolved and will do my best to resolve it quickly.

Great turnaround, Tony, I see you weren't joking when you said that you'd make resolving this issue a priority! :smileywink:

In terms of the positioning of the label, I'd prefer it to be below the graphic. This leaves enough 'white space' to differentiate the Kudos feature from the User's details section listed above it. I'd also like to see the label read 'Give Kudos' as this highlights that this is an interactive feature, similar in context to the word 'Vote' used by other sites that use a similar feature to this.

That said, and pending your advice on how hard it may be to implement, I really think you should engage the posters in this thread to determine the ideal solution as there are clearly a number of good ideas here on how to best present the Kudos feature.
