Strange Behavior of/on these Boards

Having been gone for awhile, I can tell if the following is due to a change in these boards or something else.  Moreover, I have only observed the issue in this forum of the community, not in other forums ... yet.

The issue?

Sometimes, the window is all out of alignment, and links don't work.

If I press F5, the alignment is restored and everything works:

I don't see this issue in any other communities nor yet in any other forums of this community.  Is anyone else experiencing this here or elsewhere?

It is more likely a forum engine error. I have these errors with IE8 since the Lithium team upgraded the engine months ago.

I have the same issues also but not restricted to the NIS/NAV 2011 Beta Forum.

Re: Strange Behavior of/on these Boards

Yes, that's just about the time I dropped out of the regular forums for awhile.  Then when I came back, it was for the beta testing.  I think the reason I don't experience this issue on the other Symantec forums has to do with cache-and-cookies.  Since the other boards are new to me, when I visit them I get an automatic refresh.  But the beta boards, which I now visit regularly, are not getting immediate refreshes, so orientation changes aren't being handled correctly.

(Written hastily and sloppily, but I'm sure the engineers can figure it out.)

Most unlike you but maybe you are in a hurry to spend some cash on cookies:smileywink:.

To resolve this issue, turn on Internet  Explorer 8's 'Compatibility View' mode via the icon in the Address bar. As long as 'norton.com' is listed as a website in your 'Compatibility View Settings', you shouldn't see any display problems or text alignment issues while browsing the Norton forum using IE8.

Interesting.  I'll give it a try.

Thanks.

Later:  I tried it and it worked.  Good thinking!
