So I spend most of my time online trying to avoid pop-ups and annoying malware, only to join this forum and... what is the first thing that happens? When I click on the link that says "create your own" discussion thread, it sends me to a survey with a competition that asks me for my mobile phone number!!!! Then when I get through the survey nothing happens. I close it and find an online casino pop-up in the background. What's the go with this Norton??? Not very professional in my opinion.

This sounds like an infection of some kind. It does not sound like Norton or this forum are involved with what you are seeing.

You should start with a full system scan, preferably in Safe Mode.

To help with a proper solution, can you tell us what norton product you are using and the version (Support - About)? Also what operating system are you using and service packs?

As some of the other members have suggested, it may not have been this community, or may have been something redirecting you to a different page. Could you provide some more details about what you're seeing? Maybe a screenshot as well? That would help us immensely. Thanks.
