Norton 360

Hi

My lovely mum has just bought me this netbook and was sold a Norton 360 5.0 (gold edition??) with it. Am I able to install this on a netbook, having no disc drive, or will we have to return it?

Have searched through the website, but can't find anything that doesn't want me to pay for it again!

Welcome to Norton Community!

I think Norton 360 5.0 Gold edition is Norton 360 Netbook edition with additional gold card for free services/utilities. So, you can download the Norton 360 Netbook Edition from the following Symantec KB:

Then install the Netbook edition and use the Product Key from the CD for activation. Let us know if this works for you.

Are you in the UK? The Gold Edition seems more common over there than here in the USA.

I ask in case it makes any difference where you download the file from .......

Since she said mum, I would say that the user is from the UK. I believe that all of the English speaking countries  got the same version of the products, so it shouldn't make a difference that the file would be downloaded from  an US kb. Thanks.

That and when I googled the Gold version the current adverts were UK .....

I'm never 100% sure about the differences and how much is set by the KEY (nothing since we see here about how to get a a different language version in a given country) so how do the UK get the right spelling ? <s>

I don't believe that they do get the correct UK spelling in their products since they do come from the USA this year., but they do pay the prices in their respective countries. Although I haven't seen anyone from the UK complaining about the spelling in the product so perhaps I am wrong about that. The important thing though is that it is protecting the User whether it is the program or the programme.
