Norton 360

I just bought 360 V3. I have about four months left on my V2 subscription. If I install my new V3 today, will it credit me with my time remaining on V2 subscription, or will I lose the four months I have remaining on V2? I guess what I'm asking is whether or not I should wait until my V2 expires before installing V3. It would seem a waste to lose four months of V2, especially since the version differences aren't significant anyway.

Welcome to Norton Community!

It would be better to wait for the current subscription to expire, and then install Norton 360 3.0 you have purchased. But, you have another option - You can install Norton 360 3.0 and activate using the Product Key of Norton 360 2.0(you can get it from your Norton Account). You can continue to use the 4 months subscription and when it expires, you can re-activate/renew the subscription using the new Product Key of Norton 360 3.0 you have brought now. You can download a new copy of Norton 360 3.0 from any of the following links according to the product you have brought(click on the link to to start the download):

For Norton 360: http://www.norton.com/n360s_3
For Norton 360 Premier Edition: http://www.norton.com/n360p_3

Then start the installation from the downloaded file, use the Product key of Norton 360 2.0 when it prompts for activation. Otherwise, contact Symantec Customer Service and they will assist you further with your subscription.

Thanks for your quick and very comprehensive reply, Yogesh! I appreciate your taking the time to give me the alternatives.

Based on what you're saying, I think I'll just wait for V2 to expire. As you well know, Symantec gives you plenty of warning! Then I'll simply install the new version. BTW, I never would have thought of using the V2 product key on V3; but it makes sense.
