Hi,
I am using internet security plus I have a copy of utilities.
As my subscription is coming up for the security I am pondering on 360.
My question; is 360 the same as using internet security plus utilities?
Also, what would the reasons be for me to go to 360 versus sticking with internet security plus utilities?
Cheers,
Lyle.

Hi,
I also notice there is a 360 version for a netbook. I wish to put the software on two laptops and one netbook. Would I need both versions? With internet security, I presently use it on both types of machine.
Cheers,
Lyle.

Hi Lyle,
Although N360 does have some of the features of Norton Utilities, NU has extra features and is aimed at more advanced users. N360 is also a "set and forget" program where NIS is more customizable. I hope this helps.
Edit:- The regular versions of N360 and NIS will work fine on netbooks. The netbook version will probably be discontinued soon anyway.

Thanks Dave,
answers my situation well. I was worried about 360 not having all the utility features and felt I should ask first. Now I know. I also like the idea of the flexibility you mention on IS, so I would have taken a step backward if I change the current set up. This I had not suspected. 360 would suit my parents. Always learning. I recently picked apart a seriously damaged netbook after a cyber attack using these tools, both version 14 and the trial version of the 15 utilities at the time. It took 100 hours and succeeded. So thanks for the answer. I now know exactly which setup, stay as I am doing. Kewl.
Another question, my renew button takes me to the US prices, when I alter the setting to Australia, the prices goes up by quite a bit. The exchange rate has both currencies very close and has so for a while, so i might be able to get a better price by buying at a shop as I did last time, plus I would have the disks to load onto the machines when any rebuild jobs arrive, thus reducing downloads of the software - although I notice this happens when corruption routines are being activated - I have seen some very interesting features from time to time. That said, what would happen if I purchased from Australia on the US setting using the Visa which seems to work on other sites with $US transactions?
I also keep my utilities software, office etc duplicated on my portable harddrive (and each machine), would this be possible with the downloaded software, at a glance I think some of it is the downloads? I replace the laptop about once a year requiring a whole range of setup - always fun as I learn more each time. As you would know, many people become attached to the idea of having the original software disks. There is also the alternative reality of the more done on net as technologies evolve, the easier is my affairs. I might need to be changing some of my computing practices. Any thoughts you might like to offer that might set me straight on the disks versus the download versus the prices versus my laziness will be appreciated. (sorry about the long-winded, thanks for the earlier advice, on to it now)
Cheers,
Lyle.

Hi Lyle.
I am in OZ too. Seehttp://au.norton.com for the $AU price. Personally, I always check retail outlets as they often offer a better deal than renewing online.... JMHO. Hope this helps.
I think this is the current renewal deal http://buy.norton.com/estore/mf/upgradeRenewal

Thanks,
I have had a look in the shops. Will have it sorted this week.
I will try that $US price, if that doesn't work, the shop and the cashback.
Cheers,
Lyle.

Hi Dave,
I opted for buying from the shop. Cost $77 less a cashback of $20. So at $57, I decided that price plus owning the disk convinced me. I would like to maybe try the $US charge next year. I suspect a flaw in the Norton system between currencies, but without attempting to use the $US screen, that is merely a guess and the price would have been fractionally higher.
Anyhow, happy to have another year of protection.
Cheers,
Lyle.
