Norton 360

my new pc has 360 installed as bundled software.

i have a norton account with 1 use remaining and want to use it on my new pc.

i have tried enter to enter the product key from 360 premier into the bundled 360. i recognises that its a 360 premier key and directs me to my account dowload page i have followed the instructions in the  downloader and 360 premier is downloaded and procedes to install but nothing further seems to hapen and i am still left with the bundled software 30 day trial.

been back to my account and still have i activation left so i know the 360 premier hasent been activated.

please help

The keys are not interchangeable and if your bundled Norton 360 is the Standard, and not the Premier, then you need to uninstall it and then install the Premier by downloading as you tried.

Here's a link to the Norton Removal Tool that will uninstall the trial version and clean up afterwards. Then you can install your Premier and the simplest way will be to go to your MyNortonAccount on line and use the Download button that should be there since that downloads and installs the current version already activated .....

If you used the Identity Safe on the bundled version you may want to export it and then reimport it into the Premier unless you have the data from another installation.

Run it a couple of times with a reboot inbetween ...

After installing N 360 run LiveUpdate 2 or 3 times with a restart inbetween to get fully uptodate with definitions and fixes.

Hi barryo18,

If the version that came with your PC was the Standard Edition you will have to uninstall that before installing the Premium Edition as the Keys are not interchangable.
